Application Requirements

Write an essay of 500 words or fewer commenting on the following:

It is only by introducing the young to great literature, drama and music, and to the excitement of great science that we open to them the possibilities that lie within the human spirit — enable them to see visions and dream dreams.

Submit official high school transcript; evidence of college admission and matriculation for fall 2015; one letter of recommendation from a work supervisor, teacher, clergy, guidance counselor or coach attesting to applicant’s character and work ethic; copy of college essay.

Indicate place and nature of volunteer or community service, extracurricular activities, i.e., clubs, ensembles, jobs, and any other information that is relevant and not covered elsewhere in the application.

Include home and mobile telephone numbers, e-mail and postal addresses.

Eligible students are 2015 high school graduates who have played for two or more seasons with the ensembles of GBYO and are bound for college to pursue a major in a healing science.
